If you are using a blogger template, you will observe that there is a powered by blogger attribution at the end of the template. Just scroll down to the end of your blog and check it out. Some bloggers who wish to add professionalism to their blog usually remove this Attribution. I am going to show you how to remove it today. Do these if you want to remove Powered by blogger widgetPlease always Back up your template before making any change to your template. In your dashboard, click TEMPLATE Tab, then click BACK UP/RESTORE.
Removing Blogger Attribution
1. Log in to your blogger dash board
2. Click on TEMPLATE, then click on EDIT HTML
3. Find this code Attribution1 (Hold Control Key and press letter F)
You will see Attribution1 in the middle of this code below
<b:widget id=’Attribution1′ locked=’true‘ title=” type=’Attribution’>
4. You should now replace true to false. (this is the only thing you are to change)
5. You can now click on SAVE TEMPLATE.
6. Click on LAYOUT, scroll to the end of the Layout page and click on the edit button on ATTRIBUTION GADGET. It will open up in a new page.
7. You can now see the REMOVE button, Clicking on it will completely remove the Attribution Gadget from your blog.
Ordinarily, when you log in to blogger, Click on LAYOUT, you will see that the ATTRIBUTION gadget is the last gadget in the layout. You can edit it BUT you cannot remove it completely from there . See how I edited and added items to my own blog Attribution gadget.
As for me, I did not remove the blogger Attribution gadget from my blog because I feel that it is my own little way of appreciating blogger.com for hosting my blog FREE OF CHARGE.
